Elevating Safety for the World’s Riskiest Work!

Welcome.

What if the answer to the problem of human factors in managing safety is to become more human? What if we learned to lean into the aspects of being human that are laying dormant or require greater balance within ourselves, our organizations, companies, and society?

What if walking the razors edge of risk required that we use ALL of our powers from what we call the left brain (logic, systems, mechanization) and the right brain (creativity, nurturing, and caring).

At Archetypal, our tools promote the idea of Mindset Awareness for Risk Decision Making. We have strategies that will help you thrive and stay alive by fostering awareness balancing all aspects of being human for optimal results.

Human Development Revolution

Making Ourselves Visible to Ourselves

Those who work in High Potential Consequence situations and environments have long needed language for making our actions visible to ourselves. What Archetypal offers is a language and set of tools that you likely have been seeking that will help you and your team recognize, both limiting and over-extended mindsets and instantly how to balance them.

Our work is grounded in the best knowledge we have about becoming the individual and team that has consistently sound decisions. Carl Jung, Robert Kegan, Viktor Frankl, Brené Brown, Joseph Campbell and many others, ground our work. What we have done is turn that knowledge into practical tools that are easy to use in HPC environments to elevate safety. Our work is also rooted in experience which we define as lived events that have been metabolized into useful tools.

Archetypal’s Tools and Strategies Elevate Safety by:

o   Fostering acceptance of self, others, events, and situations. Grounding teams in the current reality.

o   Mentoring an expanded understanding of courage. The courage to observe, and correct.

o   Nurturing deep connection with self, others and the environment. Developing a cohesive team that can say anything that is needed.

o   Cultivating an authenticity of the self. Learning aspects of the self that have great utility for taking right action.

o   Coaching the embodiment of grace. Balancing out the hubris that is required in some situations with humility.

o   Navigating the path to truth. Learning to share what is needed when it is needed and how it is needed.

o   Remembering the magic of intuition. Cultivating the ability to listen to the wisdom voice inside.

o   Finding our way to peace. Peace is finding right balance between order and chaos.

Deep inside you is a calling to this the most compelling adventure of all. Answer the call.

Reclaiming Your Voice, Wisdom, and Agency in Adventure Partnerships

Faint-Heartedness ← Courage → Overboldness

Many women find themselves in relationships with capable, confident, and decisive individuals. While these qualities can be attractive and valuable, they can also create an unintended imbalance. Over time, one partner's confidence may begin to overshadow the other's voice. Ideas go unspoken. Intuition is ignored. Needs remain unexpressed. Decisions become one-sided. The problem being disempowered, is that all parties are exposed to consequence.

This course explores the hidden relationship between over-boldness and faint-heartedness and helps women reclaim the courage necessary to participate fully in their own lives and adventure relationships.

Drawing from Aristotle's concept of courage, contemporary courage research, relationship psychology, and human development theory, participants learn how to recognize where they have become silent, hesitant, self-doubting, or disconnected from their own insights—and how to restore their capacity to speak, act, and lead from a mindset of authentic courage.

Course Content

This course is for women who are weary of being exposed to hazardous behaviours taking place on your adventures, and your perspective is undermined or overlooked.

By participating in this course you will develop:

a Deep Understanding of the hazards of Faint-heartedness and Over-boldness

Intellectual Courage

Social Courage

Emotional Courage

Intuitive Courage

Agency in Risk Decision Making

Program Promise

The transformation you will foster is not from weakness to strength.

It is from self-doubt to self-trust. From silence to voice. From accommodation to agency. From faint-heartedness to courage.

Human Journey Card Deck (Sold Out!! Pre Order Updated Deck- Fall 2026)
CA$52.50

The Human Journey Card deck is a stand-alone tool and a critical part of deeper explorations we offer at Archetypal called Mindset Awareness for Risk Decision Making. Most situations we find ourselves have potential for undesired consequence. The Card Deck helps us thrive and stay alive by fostering awareness of our limiting behaviours and promoting the kind of balances behaviours that keep us grounded and making our best choices.

Humans, who work and play in all varieties of High Potential Consequence situations (including our relationships) are exposed to the same challenge. Being out of balance. In our western culture, we tend to respond to challenges habitually. The opportunity we have is to recognize all of the skill sets we can use to manage potentially consequential situations and to find the balance among them.

In the Card Deck. There are eight coloured title cards that present our initial guide to the balancing the process of: Acceptance, Courage (Heart based responses), Connection, Self-Awareness, Grace, Truth, Intuition and Peace. Operating in this space is our goal. Of course, the big awareness is that all of these desirable responses to challenges have a an out of balance form; (Denial & Acquiescence), (Faint-Heartedness & Over-boldness), (Isolation & Entanglement), (Insignificance & Self-Absorbed), (Hubris & Martyrdom), (Deception & Disruptive Truth) , (Over-Intellect & Reflexivity) and (Chaos & Over-Order). Recognizing our being out of balance, is where the pithy work comes in.

Each title card has a number of concepts that provide a deeper resolution for the concept. These cards have the potential of helping us deepen our understanding of ourselves within the context of the situation.
